Reid Houck

I am originally from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and graduated from the University of
Idaho. The Marine Corps brought my family to Ramona in 2011 and we have
established deep roots in this great community, the place where we will retire
and call our forever home. I am currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the United
States Marine Corps, retiring early in 2025 and hope to join one of the legacy
airlines.

I have been flying general aviation and military aviation for over 20 years. I
earned my private pilot license at Enterprise, Oregon in 2003 and then joined
the Marine Corps in 2005, earning my Naval Aviator Wings in November of
2008.

I instructed in the KC-130J Super Hercules across the globe and deployed to
the Middle East and Africa multiple times throughout the years. I have
accumulated over 2,000 hours in single engine and multi-engine complex
aircraft.

I began my flying career with the support and encouragement of an aviation
community of mentors and have spent over two decades looking for a flying
family like I had, Ramona Flight Training Center is a near-perfect duplication
of the friends and aviation mentors I built my aviation foundation upon over 25
years ago. My passion is introducing the next generation of young men and
women to the wonderful world of professional aviation – when you are up
there nothing else beats it and you won’t believe you are actually doing it!
I offer instruction for Private, Instrument, and Commercial for both single-
engine and multi-engine aircraft.

Instruction Offerings:  Private, Commercial
